Quantum Physics and Relativity
The predictions as a result of the beautiful mathematics held within quantum mechanics has astounded physicists for nearly a century. Not only does quantum mechanics predict singular or rare events that require huge particle accelerators to measure, but it also explains many phenomena that could not be explained without it, e.g. Planck’s introduction of quantised energy for his blackbody radiation spectrum.
